walking

“One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” Neil Armstrong

From about the age of one we can all pretty much walk on our own. No pre-requisites or qualifications required.

When starting a weight-loss program walking is by far the best form of exercise you can do.

Unless you’re bed-ridden, in a wheelchair or on crutches, there’s really no excuse for not being able to walk for at least 30 minutes pretty much every day.

And you’ve got to love that it’s low-impact and easy.

Personally, I see it as a great means to kick-start my day and this is reinforced by one author saying we burn twice as much fat walking before a meal rather than straight after one.

What’s more, the Bodytrim program recommends working towards a minimum of 10,000 steps per day which is entirely achievable when you put your mind to it.
