You would be forgiven for thinking that fruit juice is a healthy option.

And certainly freshly squeezed is at the very least full of vitamins and nutrients which is a much better alternative to soft drink.

But, unfortunately, it’s packed full of sugar. Fructose to be exact. And this is its downfall.

Because they’re the calories bypassing our natural, built-in appetite-control system.

Some doctors even go so far as to call fruit juice lollie-water

A much better choice is to eat a whole piece of fruit. And if you’re thirsty, simply drink some water

That way you get the benefit of the fibre which offsets any ill-effects of the sugar and still get all the other goodies.
